I grew up in this community. I know what sport can mean to a kid — a place to belong, a team to believe in, and a reason to dream bigger.

This new Hub will bring six gymnasiums, a high-performance training centre, a domed turf playing field and expanded community space to Etobicoke North — creating more opportunities for kids, families and athletes to play, train and compete year-round.

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity should be too.

From the playground to the podium, this investment will help our community come together, get active and give the next generation the space to reach their full potential.

A special thank you to Canada Basketball and Humber Polytechnic for helping make this vision a reality, and for everything they continue to do for our community.

And thank you to RJ Barrett and Michelle Plouffe for being here today and for inspiring the next generation to dream big and believe in what’s possible.

This is what building Canada strong looks like. 🇨🇦

Our federal government delivered for Etobicoke North — and we’re just getting started.
